Your privacy is our priority. anonversations is built with privacy-first principles. We collect minimal data, never sell your information, and give you control over your data.
anonversations is a peer-support and mental-wellness service operated by SelfX, LLC (Delaware). It is not a healthcare provider. To protect your anonymity, please avoid sharing precise identifying details or sensitive personal information in conversations.
| Data Type | Purpose | Storage |
|---|---|---|
| Email (optional) | Account recovery, notifications | Encrypted |
| Display Name | Shown in conversations | You choose what to share |
| Support Preferences | Better matching | Anonymous categories only |
Conversations are anonymous and protected.
To keep the community safe and to power optional in-app assistance, message content is processed by automated systems, including our third-party AI provider (Anthropic). This happens in two ways:
Where feasible we minimize and filter personal identifiers before sending content to our AI provider, and under Anthropic's commercial terms your content is not used to train its models. Human review by a moderator occurs only when the AI flags serious concerns, and moderators cannot see your real identity.
We NEVER: Sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for profiling.
We only share data in these limited circumstances:
We do NOT share data with:

| Account Data | Until you delete your account |
| Usage Analytics | Kept in aggregated form for service improvement |
| Safety & Moderation Records | Retained as needed for safety and abuse-prevention purposes |
When you delete a conversation or your account, we remove the associated data from our active systems. Residual copies in routine backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.
